Technical Research Director, Acritas
Lucy is the Technical Research Director at Acritas, now part of Thomson Reuters, leading the design and analysis of all large-scale research projects including Acritas’ flagship project, Sharplegal. She has 15 years of experience researching the global legal services industry and other professional services, across a diverse range of subjects from branding and client perceptions to employee engagement and partner compensation. She provides high level statistical data analysis and interpretation on projects, using a range of multivariate analysis techniques and models to drill down into the data and uncover underlying trends and correlations.
Lucy led the design and analysis of the recent Global Law Firm Partner Wellbeing Project. The findings of this research, the full report of which is due to be published in summer 2020, have not only highlighted the most effective strategies for individuals to maximise their own wellbeing but also uncovered some important findings about what firms should be doing to maximise the wellbeing of all their employees.
Based in the UK, her academic background includes a First Class Honours degree in Maths and Chemistry from the University of Durham, as well as subsequent degrees in Psychology and Social Research Methods. Lucy regularly speaks on webinars as Acritas’ data expert, highlighting the key trends to which professional services organizations should be paying attention.
