Karen Febeo joined Goodwin Procter in 2005 and is the firm’s Managing Director of Professional Development & Training. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of the professional development and training of Goodwin Procter attorneys and professional staff. She focuses on developing and implementing a strategic training plan aligned with the firm’s development frameworks, including leadership, business development and project management skill development. She also focuses on attorney and staff engagement and retention, informal and formal feedback, mentoring, diversity, and integration. Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Febeo served as the Director of Human Relations at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, where she worked closely with the firm’s management team focusing on all issues affecting associate life and served as a counseling resource for associates. Ms. Febeo is also an experienced litigator and intellectual property attorney, having practiced law at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault from 1996 to 2004. During that time, she also participated in a six-month internship at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. Karen received her A.B. (cum laude) from Dartmouth College and her J.D. (with honors) from the University of Connecticut.
