Joe Green

Joe Green is a Senior Legal Editor at Thomson Reuters Practical Law, where he focuses on writing Practical Law's startup and venture capital content. Joe also writes thought leadership content and scholarship on startup-related issues, as well as the business of law, legal technology and the future of the legal industry. He speaks regularly on these topics at industry and academic conferences, law firms and law schools.

Joe is an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Central Michigan University and has lectured on startup law at NYU School of Law, Cornell Tech and Yale Law School. Joe's academic work has been published in the North Carolina Law Review, Minnesota Law Review Headnotes, Hastings Law Journal and Virginia Law Review Online, and he is the author of a forthcoming book chapter on legaltech and the future of startup lawyering.

Prior to joining Practical Law, Joe was a senior attorney with Gunderson Dettmer in New York, where he served as outside general counsel to high-growth startups, advising these companies and their venture capital investors on a wide range of legal and business issues. Joe started his legal career as a securities lawyer with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
