Irene Oria

Irene Oria is a Partner at the international law firm of FisherBroyles LLP. Irene has over 20 years of experience as a business trial and appellate lawyer with a focus on complex financial services, insurance and securities litigation and defense of nationwide class actions and multi-district litigation. She has first-chaired over 30 jury and non-jury trials during her career. Irene previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Florida and as a federal judicial law clerk to U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga in the Southern District of Florida.

Irene is currently serving as the National President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). Her prior roles at the HNBA include Regional President in Region VIII (Florida), National Finance Director, and Vice President of Programs.

The daughter of Cuban immigrants, Irene was born and raised in Union City, New Jersey. She received her B.A. from Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City in 1996 and her J.D. from Cornell Law School in Ithaca, NY in 1999.
