Ellen Auwarter has worked with law firms for most of her career, which began with the practice of litigation and employment law and segued into marketing in 1997. Since joining Duane Morris 10 years ago, Ellen oversees marketing and business development for the global Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups, including Private Equity, Capital Markets and Family Offices, as well as industry teams in Energy, Banking and Finance and Education. Previously, Ellen held marketing and business development positions at Lovells LLP, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP. Ellen also spent three years at the New York New Media Association (NYNMA), the largest industry association for new media and technology in the country at the height of the dot-com boom.
Ellen has served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association, where she helped create a Your Honor Award-winning Careers in Transition Program. She has spoken at programs hosted by the ABA, PLI, ALM Media and Thomson Reuters, among others. Admitted to practice in New York, Ellen received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College in American Studies; she spent her junior year at Williams College. In her spare time, Ellen sings cabaret in New York City.
