Courtney J. Peterson is a partner in the Commercial Disputes Practice Group, and handles litigation involving complex business transactions, employment disputes, commercial contract disputes, commercial landlord-tenant disputes and fiduciary duties of trustees and executors. Ms. Peterson focuses her practice on reaching the best possible outcome for her clients, whether by way of a business solution or a litigated result, and has litigated, including with respect to employment-related disputes, in both the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey.
Ms. Peterson’s experience encompasses all aspects of litigation, including case strategy; discovery plans; witness interviews and factual investigation; witness preparation and depositions; counseling clients; negotiating settlements and drafting settlement agreements; researching and drafting complex dispositive and non-dispositive motions, pleadings and appellate briefs; representing clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings; and arguing motions and appeals.
Ms. Peterson is an active member of the New York Office’s Recruiting Committee and Lawyers of Color Affinity Group.
