Behrooz Shariati joined Segway as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer in July 2014. He is responsible for managing and enforcing Segway’s vast intellectual property portfolio as well as overseeing Segway’s legal issues, ranging from contract negotiations to corporate compliance, all across the globe.
Behrooz is a veteran Intellectual Property litigator and has many years of experience counseling and litigating on behalf of global companies. Prior to joining Segway, Behrooz was a partner at Womble Carlyle Sandridge and Rice, Jones Day and McDermott Will and Emery. He was also an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati. He holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in California and The United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as other Federal trial and appeal courts throughout the United States.
