NEW YORK — To close out the 2017 Rising Stars Cohort program, Susan Taylor Martin, President of Thomson Reuters Legal, who initially welcomed the women to the program launch in April, welcomed them back last week to share in an evening focused on celebrating the accomplishments of the year.

The Rising Stars Cohort program is a group comprised of several high-potential female law firm partners who are working together to learn from and network with some of the most influential leaders in the legal industry. The Rising Stars Cohort program is part of Thomson Reuters’ Transforming Women’s Leadership in the Law Program (TWLL).

Deirdre Stanley, Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Thomson Reuters, then led a panel discussion which welcomed some of the most powerful women in the legal industry today. The panel consisted of Jami Wintz McKeon, Partner and Chair of Morgan Lewis, as well as an Advisory Board member for TWLL; Valerie Radwaner, Deputy Chair and Partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and a TWLL Advisory Board member; and Jen Hobbs, Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Topics for the evening ranged from engaging with influencers across the firm to participating in opportunities for visibility to the importance of women in firm leadership. It was truly a night of celebration for all and an excellent way to close out the program’s inaugural year!
