Business Development Manager, Jenner & Block LLP
Theresa DeLoach is a tenured, legal services marketing and business development professional with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings College of the Law. She began her career in legal recruiting/marketing and later made a successful transition into full-time marketing/business development. Throughout her career she has demonstrated the ability to lead large initiatives and has been able to deliver multiple projects under budget and with successful results.
Over the years Theresa has developed solid relationships with in-house counsel at companies large and small across various industries. She has interviewed/conducted client service meetings with in-house counsel from Yahoo, Toyota, Direct TV, Univision, Cisco Systems, True Religion and Beats Electronics to name a few. She has even been able to get persuade many to appear on panels that she has moderated. During those countless client interviews, she learned firsthand about the challenges facing in-house counsel on both a legal and business front. As a result, she has successfully helped to connect in-house counsel with the lawyers best equipped to provide the most effective business solutions.
At Jenner & Block she is responsible for building the complex practices of lawyers across groups including but not limited to: Securities, Corporate M&A, Commercial Litigation, Content, Media and Entertainment and White Collar and Investigations. She leads marketing initiatives for the Firm and focuses on cross-sell opportunities. She also helps strategize and implement business development initiatives across the Firm, helps execute individual marketing plans, creates/manages sponsorships and in-house client focused events. In addition, she enjoys coaching lawyers on business development and helps to lead Jenner & Block’s coaching program.
