Director of Development, The New York City Anti-Violence Project
Meera Vaidyanathan is the Director of Development at the New York City Anti-Violence Project (AVP). Meera is an experienced development professional with 15+ years of experience in fundraising for the arts and social justice causes. She coordinates fundraising activities for all AVP’s programs for LGBTQ and HIV-affected survivors of violence, including its 24/7 bilingual hotline, counseling and legal services, and organizing and advocacy work on the city, state, and national level. Most recently, she was Director of Development at Sadie Nash Leadership Project, where she led the organization on an ambitious trajectory of growth, and proudly represented the organization in accepting a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from First Lady Michelle Obama. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
