Lanaya Irvin is a strategic leader with a passion for big ideas and commitment to execution. After a decade of leadership on Wall Street, Lanaya Irvin joined TheSkimm as global Head of Business Development in 2018. Prior to this role, Irvin was a Director in Equities at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she led key strategic initiatives for Prime Brokerage and provided client coverage for hedge funds and asset managers across equity, fixed income and synthetic prime brokerage. During her years at the bank, she too held leadership roles within Global Transaction Services, responsible for leading international cross product sales and operations strategy.
Irvin is currently co-chair of the Human Rights Campaign’s National Business Advisory Council, a forum of leaders from Fortune 500 companies collaborating across industries to advance equality goals of HRC and offer innovative solutions to inclusion challenges faced by employers globally. She sits on the Board of Directors for the New York City Anti-Violence Project, a nonprofit focused on supporting survivors of LGBT hate violence through counseling and advocacy. She is also on the executive leadership team of OPEN Finance, a consortium of LGBT leaders advancing inclusion across Wall Street. Irvin was recently recognized by Viacom and OutLeadership during Logo’s Trailblazer Honors where she was featured as one of four leaders who have made extraordinary impacts in the workplace regarding LGBT equality. Irvin holds a MBA from the University of Texas, McCombs School of Business and a B.A. from the University of California.
