Director of Human Resources - Americas, Christie’s Inc.
Karen Gray was appointed as Director of Human Resources – Americas for Christie’s Inc. in February, 2016. In her role as Director of Human Resources, Ms. Gray is responsible for managing the 11+ member human resources team in the Americas, and is actively involved in general employee relations matters, recruitment, strategic organizational design, and the implementation of compensation and benefits programs in the Americas.
Until recently, Ms. Gray also served as Chief Operating Officer for Christie’s Inc. In this role, she was responsible for leading site operations and for the successful implementation of global corporate priorities across the region.
Ms. Gray first joined Christie’s in March, 2007, as General Counsel for Christie’s Inc., and oversaw all legal affairs in the Americas.
Prior to Christie’s, Ms. Gray was at Reuters America where she held the title of Senior Vice President and Principal Legal Counsel for the company’s Business Support Group. Before joining Reuters in 2000, Ms. Gray spent five years as a health care/not-for-profit attorney at the international law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
Ms. Gray graduated Cum Laude from Harvard law School in 1995 and Cum Laude from Williams College with a B.A. degree in Religion in 1992.
