Amber Murray is a Director and the Deputy General Counsel at Jamestown, a privately held real estate investment and management company with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia that focuses on transforming spaces across the United States into innovation hubs and community centers. As of September 30, 2019, Jamestown had $11.5 billion of assets under management including iconic properties such as Ponce City Market in Atlanta, GA, One Times Square in New York, NY and Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, CA. In her capacity as Deputy General Counsel, Amber is responsible for managing financing transactions and dispositions of real estate assets within the Jamestown portfolio. She is also responsible for managing legal matters across the Jamestown portfolio including supervising external leasing, litigation, and bankruptcy counsel. At Jamestown, Ms. Murray serves as a member of the U.S. Retail Investment Committee and the U.S. Compliance Committee. In 2015, the Jamestown legal department was named the “Small In House Legal Department of the Year” by The Daily Report in recognition of the department’s work in connection with the development, leasing, and financing of Ponce City Market, which was led by Ms. Murray. Prior to joining Jamestown, Amber practiced in the capital transactions and real estate practice group at King & Spalding LLP. Recently, Ms. Murray has served as a panelist during the American Bar Association Real Property and Estate Spring Symposium (2015), the Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys (2016) and the King & Spalding Transactional Associate Academy (2016).
Amber received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts in Hispanic Language and Cultures from New York University. Ms. Murray attended law school at Georgetown University Law Center.
